Opalized Petrified Wood Drop Earrings

Wood is petrified and opalized (typically) when volcanic ash buries surrounding plant-life. The silica-rich ash dissolves and is carried through cavities in the wood by groundwater and solidifies. Alas you get the beauty that is framed in these earrings. The rich black stones are contrasted by a dreamy shade of green/blue. Recycled silver was used to create the stud components. All metal in this piece is sterling silver (stamped .925). The final piece has a matte finish.

As with all items I create, this piece is handcrafted and hand finished from beginning to end. This means that there are going to be slight imperfections. I find this adds to the uniqueness and authenticity of each individual piece however this style is not for everyone. Please make note of this and purchase accordingly.
